Ellie Garraway
My love of books led to a publishing career, but my imagination was really ignited when I discovered the artistic possibilities (and fun) of creating my own books.
When responding to themes, it’s often the process of experimenting with techniques and materials that captures a lot of my attention (sometimes too much): from throwing ink at scrunched paper, to steam-printing with natural materials and rusty objects.
Exploring different structures inspires me to push the boundaries of what a book can be - conjuring a book from car doors, for example.
I am currently the chair of Marches Book Arts Group.
